December 1, 2007, Largo Central Park. On the first full weekend of each month the Largo Central Railroad runs their trains and gives people rides. The picture below is the Largo Christmas Tree.
This is one of the steam locomotives of the Largo Central Railroad and the picture below is a picture of the inside of the engine where the coal is put into the firebox. That picture has been enhanced so I could get more detail. The man sitting on the coal car said that this locomotive weighed about 400 lbs and with the coal and water he was carrying that it got up to about 500 lbs. It will pull about 3 to 4 cars with people riding, about 12 to 15 people.
This is the other steam locomotive that was running at the park on Dec. 1.
