I like to take pictures of the graffitti on rail cars. Some of this is really inventive.

More rail car graffitti. I raised money for the Special Olympics for the Polar Plunge on Feb, 26, 2011. My friend James also raised money and he took the plunge into 36 degree water. I could not plunge so I took the tee shirt "Too Chicken To Plunge" It was a great day, cold but great. I think there was about $300,000 raised.
The above picture and the following ones were taken at the Newport Aquarium, Newport, KY. My friend Lynette went with me and we had a great day. She took the picture below of me and the Rainbow Lorakeets.

Friday, April 30, 2010, I went to Clifty Falls State Park near Madison, Indiana. This park has 4 waterfalls. The only reason for this first picture is that a squirrel had left the remains of his lunch on the tree branch. As many of you know, I like to take pictures of strange things that catch my interest. This did. I hope you enjoy the waterfalls and scenery.

Can you find the Oriole. He was very shy and is hiding behind the leaves in the very center of the picture.

Just a dead branch that intrigued me.

April 28, 2010. The Great Steamboat Race between the Belle of Louisville and the Belle of Cincinnati. This was part of the Kentucky Derby Festival. I took the pictures from a spot near the Kingfish Restaurant on the Indiana side of the river. Sadly the Belle of Louisville lost the race, but better luck next year.

April 17, 2010 was THUNDER OVER LOUISVILLE, the beginning of the Kentucky Derby Festival which ended on May 1, 2010 with the running of the Kentucky Derby.
I took the following pictures from Ashland Park on the Indiana side of the Ohio River. The day began at about 3pm with an air show of both military and private planes doing flyby's and ended with the fireworks display. There were about 64,000 individual fireworks shot off. There was barges in the Ohio River both above and below the George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge and also fireworks shot off from the bridge. Approximately 700,000 people attended this celebration.
