April 20, 2007 I visited the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary. This orginization rescues injured birds and either rehabilitates them or gives them a place to live out their lives. The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary needs your help with donations. If you should want to help this orginization, their address is:

April 15, 2007, a piece of artwork denoting Grand Central District in the middle of Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, Florida.

April 15, 2007. The King of Peace church photo club was scheduled to go to Sunken Garden. Due to the incredible rain storm we cancelled the trip and i went to downtown St. Petersburg and played tourist. The building below is at the corner of 4th st and Central Avenue. I think it is a very beautiful building and the first level is made from what looks like blocks of coral. I have included some pictures of the detail of the blocks. You can see outlines of various types of coral. The last picture is of an old bank clock at the corner of Central Avenue and 8th St. The clock does not run anymore.

April 6, 2007. As usual I had my camera with me and was on my way home and saw this old dead tree. Yes here we go again with dead trees and of course i had to stop and take pictures. But this one had a bunch of large birds in the branches.

Closeup detail of the trunk of the dead tree.

March 31, 2007, on the way to Hermann's Royal Lipizzan Ranch near Myakka City, Florida with the King of Peace MCC Photo Club group we saw this old dead tree covered with Spanish Moss along the side of the road. After the horse show and then lunch at AJ's Cafe, 36251 SR 70, Myakka City, FL we went back to take pictures of this old tree. By the way, the food at AJ's was really good.

On March 31, 2007 5 members of the Photography Club at King of Peace Metropolitan Community Church went to see "The Original Herrmann's Royal Lipizzan Stallions of Austria" at Myakka City, Florida. You can find more information at www.hlipizzans.com . The show was a practice for their tour around the United States. If you are in this area between January and the end of April this is well worth a visit. They have the practice shows on Thursday and Friday at 3pm and on Saturday at 10am.
